This is the data that engineering companies use to generate a model. This data looks disordered in areas because it is. That’s the nature of all point cloud data both photogrammetric clouds and laser scan clouds. Getting from this indistinct point cloud state to a precise model is the problem that we are addressing.


Notice there are no tops on the tanks and other components are also incomplete. The missing data would typically be supplied by equipment specifications, old drawings and other supporting data. This data may or may not result in an accurate representation of the component because it was not empirically measured.
